A vibrant-colored beet that does not bleed when cooked. The globe-shaped roots are bright orange with gold flesh. The roots grow quickly and retain its sweet flavor when large. Golden Detroit is excellent for pickling, roasting, and cooking, as it is very tender and mildly flavored. This variety is well adapted for most climates.
