Golden Bantam was developed to be earlier and sweeter than other types of corn and became well known for its vibrant, golden color. The 6 feet tall stalks provide 5- to 6-inch-long ears and can tolerate dry temperatures. Each ear contains 8 to 10 rows of golden, sweet kernels.
