This Italian heirloom produces dark green heads that are full of flavor. Start Green Sprouting Calabrese broccoli early in the season and by early summer you will have tons of sweet broccoli. Harvest the central head then lay the plant over on its side for an explosion of side shoots that will just keep coming till the heat of summer.
