Chicory - Catalogna Garnet Stem
52 - 83 days to maturity. Chicorium intybus.
Dark green leaves with red midribs and excellent flavor. As a babyleaf Garnet Stem adds bright contrast to salad mix. Very similar to Red Rib which it replaced. Good tolerance to both warm and cool weather. Fairly uniform but there is some variation with darkness of stem color plant habit and leaf shape.
