Strong upright plants produce big yields of long-fruited Asian type eggplant. Purple Comet's fruit can reach up to 18 in. in length and 1½ - 2 in. in diameter. The long fruit have a deep purple color and hold their color well as they mature. The interiors have firm bitter free white flesh and seed development is slow.
