This primitive but attractive open kale can be traced back to eighteenth century Tuscany. This Italian region is known for their flavorful vegetables. The ten inch strap shaped leaves are dark grey blue green and slightly puckered. Excellent winter variety in containers as well as beds flavor and nutritional value is enhanced with frost and cold weather.
