Northstine Dent is ideal for grinding into flour and yellow cornmeal. It originated in Northern Michigan and is praised for its ability to be grown in areas with short growing seasons as it dries faster than other dent varieties. The ears grow to 7-8 inches and are full of white-capped yellow kernels.
