A loose-leaf romaine type. Iya Sol’s leaves have a shiny quality to them even at the baby leaf stage, and the red-colored leaves have a slight frill to them. This variety is early maturing compared to most lettuce. A cold-weather crop best planted in the spring and the fall. Great for lettuce mixes.
