Watermelon Seeds - Klondike R7

The Klondike R7 is a full sun favorite known to be resistant to Fusurium Wilt, poor soils, and heat and drought conditions. Watermelon is best sown direct after the final frost but, for earliest starts, begin indoors 3-4 weeks prior. Plant 2-3 seeds 1 in. deep per cell or 4-6 feet apart in the garden in loamy and well-drained soil in full sun. Watermelon performs best when each are grown on 8-10 inch tall mounds to accommodate long trailing vines. Fertilize crop every 3 weeks and harvest watermelon before autumn frost.
